Wootton Country Players

The Country Players were formed over 30 years ago in November 1977 and since then we have usually presented three productions each year -  plays,  pantomimes and occasionally revues and old time musicals. We currently have about thirty full members plus helpers.

Productions are held at Wootton Village Hall, Church Road, Wootton, near Bedford; we also present productions at The Place theatre in Bedford. Rehearsals are held in Wootton most Tuesdays at 7:30 pm and Thursdays at 8 pm.

Occasionally we have workshops where you can learn about theatre skills.

We have also entered plays into the Bedfordshire Drama Association's One-Act Play Festival and over the years we have received numerous awards.

Find out what other groups in Bedfordshire are presenting on the National Operatic and Dramatic Association’s NODA regional site.

If you are interested in joining us, either on-stage or backstage, please contact us by e-mail on this address:

We also run a “patronage” scheme which includes free tickets for all our productions.

You can sign up for our email list using the icon below, we will use this to inform you about our productions.
